Dessert recipes for every season
I like to make desserts using fresh, seasonal ingredients and most of the recipes reflect that. Fruit often tastes best during peak season, so your desserts will be more flavorful as well.
Some recipes have instructions for using frozen fruit if you can't find it locally (like sour cherries). Or perhaps you simply want to eat something out of season. Frozen fruit is actually a really good option for that.
I share a mix of easy dessert recipes and ones that take a little more work. Many of them are published after I've run some fun experiments to determine a winner.
For example, I compare sweet vs sour cherries in a pie bake-off, ratios of rhubarb to strawberries for oatmeal bars, and the best apples for apple pie. I hope you enjoy this eclectic collection of dessert recipes.
