Recipes for the winter season

Winter recipes are warm and cozy. I like to embrace the season with hearty stews, hot soups with crusty bread, and roasted meat & vegetables with rich sauces.

Throughout December, January, and February, recipes will use fruits & vegetables that store well, like butternut squash, potatoes, and apples. Some things are also in season over the winter months, like carrots and parsnips (that get sweeter with freezing temperatures) and citrus that taste better in the heart of winter.
