Sides for every season

Side dishes are one of the easiest ways to feature seasonal fruits and vegetables. When they are fresh and at peak season, they can even stand out with minimal cooking or added flavors.

In spring, asparagus and artichokes make great sides. Summer fruits and vegetables seem to know no limits. In fall, roasted vegetables are perfect as the weather cools down. And winter is filled with heartier sides of root vegetables and winter squash.

Whenever you have a main dish idea and don't know what to pair with it, start looking for seasonal sides. Those can be green salads, pasta salads, or simply cooked vegetables.
